Coastal Wetland and Global Change Research Greenhouses(CW-GCG)

Sep 14, 2022

Coastal wetland and global change research greenhouses are a research system that simulates future global change scenarios such as temperature increase, sea level rise, atmospheric CO2 concentration change and alien species invasion. The greenhouse group started its construction in 2018, and was put into use at the end of 2019. With an area of about 1000 m2, the greenhouse group includes equipments of one group of intelligent controllable greenhouse, eight small phytotrons that simulating changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations, three climate warming open tops, one homogenous plantation, and photovoltaic power devices. Up to now, the greenhouse group has been running for more than 8000 hours, providing scientific research and teaching support for Ecology and other disciplines.
