Based on M-ECORS, sediment elevation dynamic monitoring equipments have been set in both mangrove wetlands and salt marshes of Spartina alterniflora, which performs long-term dynamic monitoring on surface elevation variation, deposition rate, and shallow subsidence, etc. The collected monitoring data could be used to track the long-term evolution of surface elevation in different wetland vegetation areas accurately, providing important support for research on wetland sediment elevation variations, blue carbon dynamics as well as its response to sea level rise.
